Precision Metal Stamping, Die Castings, and Forging: Shaping the Metal
Precision metal stamping is a manufacturing process that involves the use of dies and presses to shape sheet metal into precise and complex forms. In this process, a flat sheet of metal is placed between two dies. One die, called the punch, moves downward with high force, while the other die, the die block, remains stationary. As the punch presses the metal sheet against the die block, the metal is forced to take the shape of the die cavity. This process can create a wide variety of parts, from small and intricate components for electronics, such as connectors and brackets, to larger parts for automotive and industrial applications, like body panels and chassis components.
